Ouch, ouch, ouch. Like this book isn't hard enough to write already.
(You may have noticed that I've been pretty lax at keeping up with my labels, but the Self Pity tag is getting quite a lot of use....)

Oh no! Sending sympathetic noises. Poor you. No shopping bags, no ironing, no swing pushing and no clapping allowed until things improve. Chocolate and red wine are allowed for medicinal purposes obviously. Hope things get better soon. Love, Rach. XX
Have you tried the Dragon dictating system? Takes a bit of a while to get used to (including speechmarks is a bit annoying) but it will save you typing...
Have been looking at ergonomic everything on amazon, and absolutely NEED to get a proper office chair, but at the moment just resting my wrists on one of those hot wheat-sack thingies does seem to have made a big difference. Think it's all been brought on by holding my wrists at a mad angle when I type, so raising them up is helpful. As, of course, is chocolate and red wine... Natural endorphin release clearly vital when in pain and on deadline...
Kate I'm seriously considering the Dragon thing, but am slightly hesitant because I'm just not sure that I'm a focused enough writer for dictating to work for me. (Am a terrible messer-- can fiddle around with a single sentence for ages, which accounts for the fact that you write 3 books to one of mine!!) But, if this is to become an ongoing problem I may just have to change the way I work, and that may be a very good thing too!!
