Old Books, New Covers...

This month I'm back on the shelves with new books that are actually old friends in disguise. And what disguises they are...

SecretsChampagne Summer

Click for more info on Wicked Secrets

Champagne Summer contains 'Tamsin' and 'Sarah' (who will both be extremely thrilled at their promotion to title characters!) from At The Argentinean Billionaire's Bidding and Powerful Italian, Penniless Housekeeper. Wicked Secrets is my two Fitzroy books in one (rather beautiful) edition, and Secrets (of the non-naughty kind) sees my Taken For Revenge, Bedded for Pleasure tucked in alongside Penny Jordan's One Night in his Arms. I knew that this edition was coming out, but wasn't prepared for the arrival of a box of books one rainy morning, and seeing the 'Dear Reader' letter she'd written inside. Needed a cup of tea and half a packet of Happy Faces biscuits to get over that, I can tell you.

It's raining here. A lot. Came downstairs this morning to find the kitchen floor under 2 inches of water and Ruby the airhead cat marooned on the sofa looking alarmed. Just as well my writing room is up in the attic, and I'm in the middle of a scene set in high summer... (which is what this is meant to be, isn't it?)

I saw Secrets in the bookshop this week, India, so snapped it up, and it's sitting at the top of my pile!
Gawd, don't like the sound of all that water, we're getting our sandbags ready just in case.
oh, meant to ask, are you going to conference next week?

GREAT covers! Am almost tempted to buy the books again. I especially love the Champagne Summer one.

I saw the PJ and you one in Tescos and thought how appropriate!
They are much better covers this time!

Very weirdly, I was in W H Smith today and saw your scrumptious cover (and Heidi Rice's) and then Abby Green posted the same covers on Facebook. It's like everywhere I look - I see your book (ooh, that rhymes!)

Is any of this making sense? No? It's late and I'm tired and I've just updated my own blog after an absence of about three years.

So please, India *sinks to knees with fervent plea* - can you visit my page and add an inane comment or I'll get a complex!

Oh Sally, you are kind. It warms my heart to think of people spotting things in bookshops and snapping them up - it's a rare pleasure in these days of Amazon and ebooks. Hope you haven't had to use the sandbags... Here it's raining again but we had one day of warm sun to help dry everything out before the next deluge.

Yes - I'm going to Penrith. Absolutely cannot wait as it's been a tough and frustrating couple of weeks here and writing has been shoved onto the backburner. Are you going? *hopes*

Ah, thanks Ros! I'd put a copy of Champagne Summer in the post to you, but weren't you supposed to be getting rid of books?!

Michelle, I can't tell you how much it means to be in a collection with Penny. I'm so grateful to the editors for inlcuding me in that series of 'pairings' and putting me with her. It's a book I shall really treasure.

Oh good, you're back in Blogland Sharon - although I do secretly like it when I'm not entirely alone in neglecting my Blog. (I now have an image of Blogs being like a row of houses in a smart street and mine being the one with the peeling paintwork and weeds growing by the front door.) Pop the kettle on in yours - I'm coming to visit!

Gorgeous snap-upable covers.

And the insides are simply irresistible too!

I'm off on my hols this weekend. I'll look out for them at the airport. I think I might need Champagne Summer :) to re-read on the plane.

Don't send me a book! There's nowhere to put it and I already have Tamsin and Sarah safely on the kindle. I can always look here to drool over the covers.

Great to see you at conference, India - after missing you going past at breakfast and smiling at minxes as I was staring at my Irish fry (what can I say, I was hungry!). Just finished reading your book in the Secret book - I'd read it the first time it came out, but enjoyed it just as much the second time around, such a beautiful hero...sigh, and a story that tugs hard on the heartstrings.

Catherine, I hope you've headed off to somewhere that didn't necessitate the packing of waterproofs and wellies and tons of extra clothes incase everything else gets wet, and I really hope you're having a fantastic time. Preferably with real champagne too - not the paperback variety!

Ros, I thought so! You'll need to make space for all your lovely author copies!

Oh Sally, it was just FAB to meet you. I'm so gormless or I would have come over to say hello (except no-one should come between a girl and her breakfast on a weekend away!) I don't know what it was about the conference, but I was permanently hungry too. Just as well the food was so good. (Although that might explain the hungriness). I was stuffing my face with millionaire's shortbread while talking to Lorraine, poor girl. She was very polite!

Gorgeous covers, India. Lovely meeting you at the RNA. We SO had the best kitchen - more of the same next year hopefully!
