It's all kicking off...

I’ve been doing a fair bit of publicity this week for the rugby series, (see here and listen here for the first fruits of it) This is huge fun and a great opportunity to ponder in-depth such questions as ‘What is the appeal of rugby players?’

Hmmm... let me think....

Well, it's official...my day's off to a jolly good start! This lovely pic is oh so much better than a white chocolate mocha from Starbuck's any day!

You are a naughty girl. You can't tell me how the pic has cheered me up here in work! It is so depressing here at the moment, I can't tell you.

Thanks Michelle, but if you listen to the radio thing you may reconsider that opinion!

Trenda, the two would go together perfectly I'd say! And Donna, it's from one of the Dieux de Stade calendars that the French rugby team produce. Abby Green bought one for me when we were writing our rugby books last year and it proved to be an invaluable research tool into the rugby physique. Important to have a clear mental picture of your hero, I think!

Karen, I missed your post! Whatever gets you through the day, I say! January is so grim we have to cheer ourselves up somehow, and at least no calories are involved...

Hi India
Why I'm so depressed is that they are laying off 90% of the work-force in the company I work for. I am so worried. Please God, let me keep my job.
The only consolation is that Mum told me this afternoon, that your parcel arrived this morning, thanks so much.

Oh Karen, that's terrible. I'm so sorry, for you and all your colleagues-- what a horrible thing to have hanging over you. When will you find out who's affected? Keeping everything tightly crossed that you get good news...

Be still my heart! Loved the article and wonderful hearing your voice as well.

The article mentions 8 authors involved, can you share?

Karen your in my thoughts. I work in travel and the phones are dead and I'm holding my breath as well. Read India's latest release, that will cheer you up!

Loved the picture, India.
My husband used to play a lot of rugby but don't remember him ever stripping off before a game. My, how times have changed...

Thank you Abby and Trenda... and Marilyn-- that's a VERY good question and I'll post the answer separately.

(Helen-- perhaps he should take it up again?!)

Hi India and Everybody
Sorry I sounded so depressed on Friday. It's absolutely horrible in the office at the moment, but we girls are trying to keep positive. What is really getting to us, is the not knowing, we wish they would just call us in and tell us what the is happening!
Thanks Marilyn, I appreciate your thoughts, I'm thinking of you as well.
xx Karen

Karen, don't be sorry. We're all thinking of you and hoping you get good news. And SOON. Waiting like this is so difficult and unfair.
