Once Upon A Time...

... one of the daughters (I shall refrain from saying which one) was invited to a friend's house for tea, and was so excited about going that she forgot to put knickers on.

That's how I feel about being invited over to Nalini Singh's blog as a guest author. Come over and say hello! (I will be properly dressed, I promise.)

Lacey, have I shocked you? Sorry! I do know of 2 other children who've done this, both on their first day at school. It's obviously an easy mistake to make! (I wonder if it would work if a heroine did this in a book, or whether it's really only sweet in the under 5s?)

This is so funny. And honest, this is a true story.
One morning last summer, my best pal in the office, walked in the door and the first thing she said to me was, 'Oh my god, I think I've forgotten to put knickers on'. I proceeded to fall off the chair, she checked, and yes she had.

Poor lamb, she has to rush to take her 2 year old to the sitter and take her 4 year old to school, all before 8.30 in the morning. So, we can forgive her.

xx Karen

Oh yes Karen, we can definitely forgive her! She sounds utterly lovely, and definitely proof that a heroine could get away with it. Tell her she'll appear in a book one day! (Heavily disguised, of course...)

Your funny story reminds me of a good friend who in junior high (grades 7-9 at the time) forgot to bring her bloomers along with her cheerleading uniform. So while she did in fact have on her undies (knickers), um, she was more than a little embarassed when pep rally time came...

On another amusing note, this past Friday, dear Hubby accompanied me to the outpatient center for the endoscopy which my doctor had ordered. Apparently, as I was working my way back from a beautifully deep slumber, I began making a list of garbled demands. While he could not make out all of them, he did understand two of my requests: vanilla ice cream with mozzarella cheese (eww!) and a Harlequin Presents novel. Fortunately, he had the good sense to only deliver on the latter!

Hope you and yours are all doing well! Oh, and the results from the test were normal. :-)

Hugs,

xxTrenda
