Go Jonny Go!

My husband and daughter # 1 will be avidly watching the Rugby World Cup final tomorrow.

I will be avidly watching Jonny Wilkinson.

Right then, India, you'd better get an order in for tomorrows Daily Telegraph, there's a free GIANT Jonny Wilkinson poster in it!
Also if you've got any tips for cosseting the men if we lose, I'd be very grateful. Being subjected to Cbeebies most of the day I didn't even realise we'd lost the football to the rotten Russians until the boss came home. Poor chap sat in brooding silence for a whole hour-- I thought someone had died! It was only after the kids went to bed that I plucked up the courage to tackle him and he managed to tell me what was up. Big tip here, don't say anything stupid like: "Oh! I thought something really serious had happened." It won't help...

Ah yes Jonny. A reason to go to Tescos at Kingston Park. My dh keeps seeing him in the yogurt section. He has also been spotted in Corbridge...My dd's science teacher knows him because her boyfriend has some thing to do with the Falcons...
I am not sure if I can watch the match. It will be far too tense...

Ooh-- good news on the poster, Rach! The great thing about having a big girly crush on Jonny Wilkinson is that my husband can't even be sneery about it, so I'll send him out for the Telegraph tomorrow.
I'm afraid I can offer no tips on the cosseting thing, though I find a cheery 'Oh well, darling, just as well it's only a game' always gets a reaction. Having spent 80 minutes gazing hungrily at JW's thighs I shall be in buoyant mood whatever the result, and shall take no responsibility for the feelings of those who are less easily satisfied!

Oh dear Michelle. I wish you hadn't told me that. Just when I was such a happy convert to online shopping...
(Follow my tip for watching the match, and just keep your eye on the men and not on the score and you'll enjoy every minute. Win win!)

Hmmm and suddenly the urgency for the solving of the eye problem is MUCH MUCH CLEARER.... ;)

If you're not a rugby fan then it's hard to fully appreciate just how amazing it is that JW looks as good as he does. Normally it's all cauliflower ears and smashed in noses. We'll be watching from NZ at the lovely time of 7.30 in the morning (well, I saw morning that but really at that time it's pre-dawn!!)

Trish, you are SO on my wavelength...

Amanda, does watching at 7.30 in the morning mean you can't drink beer?

No, thought not.
